First, my Space NK order arrived. And it’s a good one. It contained the new Luna Sleeping Night Oil by Sunday Riley and the Bumble and Bumble Thickening Serum. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am about these two.
I’ve heard lots of good things about Sunday Riley and after reading/watching reviews by a lot of people who had been impressed with Luna, I decided to buy it. I thought a lot about it because it is a very expensive product, but I’m not one of those girls who spend their rent money on designer handbags anyway, I’d rather do it on skincare. So I took the plunge and as I’m typing this post, I have it on my face and I hope that tomorrow I’ll wake up with gorgeous skin!
I also got another Bumble and Bumble product. If you read my Surf shampoo review, you’ll know that I haven’t had a good introduction to this brand. Although, I decided I want to step up my hair game: I have very fine straight hair that look flat most of the time. I just quickly blow-dry them upside down after I wash them and that’s it. But it’s not enough. In addition to committing to spend more time blowdrying them completely with a round brush and using more styling products, I also bought the Bumble and Bumble Thickening Serum to apply every night before going to bed. All I can say for now is that it smells good but I wish it came in a bottle with a sealed cap (or in a box) because you can’t tell if it’s already been used.
In the package they also included a sample of the Oskia Restoration Oil which I’m really excited about. By now, you probably already know I’m a skincare freak and I hear Oskia’s products are good.
Then, during my lunch break I stopped by Sephora. I knew I wanted to get a couple of things since I had a discount code. The first being Sephora’s own micellaire water, the Triple Action Cleansing Water. I love my cleansing balms and oils to remove makeup but, sometimes I just feel like taking it off with the good ol’ cotton pad and micellaire water. This one smells really good and has such a cool bottle. You don’t need to turn it upside down to moisten the cotton pad, just place it on top of the opened bottle and push down. The water will come out onto your pad.
The last item I bought is Clarins Hydraquench Intensive Serum. I’m a huge fan of the cream-gel moisturizer of this line – I’m on my 3rd jar already – and since I’m going to need a new serum soon, even though I still love the Caudalie one that I’ve been using, I wanted to try something new. Really excited about this one as well.
Will report back my thoughts on them once I have truly tested them.
Have you tried any of them?
What do you spend the most money on? Skincare, haircare, makeup…?
